Bon Voyage Laura!
February 05, 2010 by Reena Leone
Today, Digitaria bid Project Coordinator, Laura Philip, a fond farewell. Laura brought enough spirit and energy to fill whichever part of the office her desk was moved to. She will be greatly missed, but on a brighter note, there are now openings in both Project Management and the Digitaria Britney Spears Fan Club.
Laura, we are sad to see you go, but wish you all the best in your future endeavors and adventures in France!
And now, a message from Laura herself:
“After almost 2 years at Digitaria I'm packing up my laptop and moving to Paris. To do what exactly? I don't know. When do I leave exactly? Well I don't know that either. For someone who's made a career out of managing projects and timelines, my departure is surprisingly unplanned.
All that is certain is this leaves an opening at one of the best places you could ever ask to work for. Yes you, YOU, have a chance to join Digitaria's amazing Project Management team. Digitaria has been like family to me, so I feel compelled to make sure that my replacement is suitably awesome. There are high standards when joining the ranks of creative, smart people who love what they do - I can't let just anybody take my spot!
Beyond being responsible for the success of projects and the happiness of clients, what can really make or break a candidate is if they fit in with the Digitaria culture. A company with "Bring your dog to work Fridays" and the occasional invasion of yellow finger puppets is clearly a place that believes in playing as hard as we work.
As winner of the 2009 Digitaria Halloween contest, President of the Digitaria Britney Spears Fan Club, and official bringer of Krispy Kreme donuts, I can vouch that Digitaria is an awesome place to work. Trust me, you want this job.”

Laura, Despite not having the opportunity to talk with you directly when I was there last week helping with Qualcomm, I can tell from the pictures that you brought a certain, unique levity to a very intense position. I hope to take up the standard that you(and Miss Piggy) set in your time at Digitaria. Best Wishes and Safe Travels, Kevin Burns

I met with Jean on Friday and learned a lot more about the Project Coordinator position. Sounds like an awesome opportunity and I'm excited to meet with more of the team on Wednesday. They haven't shared the Britney Spears Fan Club aspect of things yet though. I guess I better do some prepping before Wednesday's meeting lol. Best of luck in Paris. I spent some time there a few years ago. Amazing city.
