As Digitaria’s newest (and slightly intimidated) intern, I was soon to discover that on the first day of the job I was given probably the most unexpected assignment: write a blog for the website.

Here I am equipped with a notepad for taking multiple Starbucks orders, and instead they decide to blindside me with an actual cool and meaningful task. What more can an intern ask for on his first day? I am officially spoiled. The subject: Digitaria’s office space and historical structure in the heart of the Gaslamp District – The George H. Hill Building.

Apple has revolutionized the way we buy music, movies, audiobooks , and of course apps. By storing your credit card info and offering items al a carte, spending money on iTunes is so easy you hardly give a second thought. Imagine if that same system could be used to give small donations to any number of charities — the impact could be tremendous.

Sports Industry Leading the HD Revolution

The next generation of Internet video for the sports industry is upon us.  Full-screen, high definition streaming video is a reality that changes the sports landscape for good.

It has long been understood that Sports fans have been driving force behind the sales of new high-definition televisions.  Numerous surveys have shown that this adoption of HD televisions conclude that sports fans are more eager to adopt new technologies that quickly deliver sports content than non-sports fans.

“Sports fans are demanding the latest technologies to keep up with their favorite sports,” said Tim Herbert, CEA’s senior director of consumer research.  “Clearly a growing business is creating new programming to reach this affluent and influential demographic.”
