Digitaria Is a Contender at the ADDY Awards '09

August 17, 2009 by Bobby Ghoshal

Digitaria came home with the GOLD ADDY again this year when the San Diego Ad Club presented us with the "2009 National ADDY Award" for creative excellence around the "Are You a Contender or a Pretender" call for entries campaign.

How would you handle idea-slayers in the workplace? Digitaria designed and directed an intro video and nifty hand out cards called the "San Diego ADDYs Contender Guide" containing information on effective moves, difficulty levels and suggested weapons. Here were some of our recommendations. Are you a contender or a pretender? Time to find out.

The project was spearheaded by Digitaria's top creative, including, Paul Drohan, Daiga Atvara, Art Bradshaw and Jefferson Jones.

If you didn't already know, here is a quick overview of the award:

The ADDYs are the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the San Diego Ad Club ADDY Awards are the first of a three-tier, national competition. In events held concurrently all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against the other winners in one of 14 District competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national ADDY Awards competition.

The annual ADDY Awards recognize the most creative entries in each category in both online and offline marketing. The GOLD ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence within each category awarded.
