Once a year SXSW Interactive features five days of compelling presentations from the brightest minds in emerging technology, networking events hosted by industry leaders and an unbeatable line up of special programs showcasing the best new websites, video games and startup ideas the community has to offer. This year Digitaria is looking to send two of our gurus to SXSW '10 as speakers, but we need your thumbs up.
Why? That's because, this year, SXSW has changed the way applicants get accepted. Instead of choosing speakers solely based on their advisory board's decisions, they are getting the community involved. They have set up a "Panel Picker" voting system on their website which allows users like yourself to read up on proposed topics and vote on what they would like to hear.
We have two amazing speakers who would love to charm you at SXSW '10.
First up, our CEO and Cofounder, Daniel Khabie. Dan will be explaining how the interplay of such technologies as Web 2.0, Social Networking (such as Facebook and Twitter) and proven Social Media Applications are enabling new varieties of distributed experiences for your customer and prospects resulting in massive profits at virtually no cost.
The second guru we would love to send to SXSW '10 is our Vice President of the Southwestern Region, Gilbert Salazar. Gilbert will be discussing the advent of "disruptive thinking" due to the broken models of traditional advertising agencies. He will look at specific companies and industries that can benefit from disruptive thinking, as well as the steps companies must take to begin such a transition.
The voting for these panels began on August 17th and will remain open until September 4th. From there, the final selection of speakers will be calculated based on a panel picking formula composed of 30% Staff, 40% Advisory Board, and 30% voting results. Of course, this is where you come in...
If either of these topics seem interesting to you, or if you just want to support Digitaria, please visit: http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/ideas/index/interactive/q:Digitaria and vote for both Daniel Khabie and Gilbert Salazar by clicking the "thumbs up" icon to the left of their name.
Thank you for your continued support, we love you all!
