Best Western International is the world’s largest hotel chain providing marketing, reservations and operational support to thousands of independently owned and operated member hotels in countries and territories worldwide. Since opening its doors in 1946, Best Western is an industry pioneer and has grown into an iconic brand hosting hundreds of thousands of worldwide guests each night.
The Challenge
Best Western strived to engage users in their brand experience; the company focused on convenience, simplicity, and innovation to inspire customer loyalty. Best Western believed that through a mobile experience, users will have the opportunity to engage with the brand. The initial mobile app developed by Digitaria for Best Western would be the baseline for future mobile app development and enhancements.
Our Solution
Digitaria developed the Best Western to Go! iPhone app to engage users who are traveling by giving them the ability to record points of interest in the city they are currently visiting. Travelers using the app will also be able to view and book reservations at Best Western hotels worldwide. Nearby Best Western hotels are automatically shown on the application’s map for the users’ convenience. An additional feature includes several methods of sharing these saved locations to family and friends via Facebook, e-mail, or Bluetooth.
