About the Client
The Seattle Sounder FC is an American professional soccer team originating from Seattle, Washington and participates in the Major League Soccer (MLS). Through an online poll, fans chose the team’s moniker, making the Seattle Sounders FC the third Seattle team that has done so. The Sounders FC prides itself on embracing sports democracy, a unique philosophy where fan input and interaction is paramount.
The Challenge
The SoundersFC.com's user-centric social platform had little to no precedence among professional soccer Web sites. While other teams develop secondary sites for fans to interact, the SoundersFC wanted its social media capabilities to be fully integrated into its main website. It was up to Digitaria to establish SoundersFC.com as a dynamic fan based community where fans could easily interact directly on the site.
Our Solution
Digitaria created an extremely user focused site for SoundersFC fans. Content, such as breaking news and post-game wrap-ups, are updated in real-time, providing fans a reliable and accurate filter of information, direct from the source. Users are able to interact with other fans through blogs, social networks, forums and comment sections regarding their favorite stories. Fans can also upload photos and podcasts, as well as purchase tickets, all through SoundersFC.com.
Our Result
Digitaria was able to leverage Sitecore to create a fan centered, highly interactive site for the Seattle Sounders FC. Now, Sounder’s fans are fully immersed with the team when visiting SoundersFC.com.
