Digitaria VP of Media and Entertainment to Speak at Digital Hollywood
Digital Marketing Vet Michael Brown to speak on Tablets, Mobile, Apps, etc.
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 14, 2011) -- Digitaria’s VP of Media and Entertainment Michael Brown will be a featured panelist on the opening day of Digital Hollywood’s Spring Conference, May 2-5, at the The Ritz Carlton in Marina del Ray, CA.
The panel Brown joins -- an “Immersive Consumer Experience” round table focusing on tablets, smartphones and gaming -- kicks off the conference on Monday, May 2nd at 10am, and includes talent from The Nielsen Company, Synaptics and POP.
Over the past three years, Brown has become the face of Digitaria’s media and entertainment discipline, after a more than a decade of experience in those industries. He has been a driving force in Digitaria’s expansion into mobile development and interactive gaming. Prior to Digitaria, Brown worked as the Director of Production, Digital Media for the Bravo Network, where he managed the day-to-day operations for some of Bravo’s biggest web properties, including; Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Project Runway, Top Chef and The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Most recently, Brown was a pivotal part of Digitaria’s Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad) applications for USA Network’s latest property WWE Tough Enough. The WWE Tough Enough app allows fans to check-in to an episode as it airs and unlock exclusive videos, photos and more. Using these apps, fans can collect reward points in the “Tough Club” that can be redeemed to acquire virtual and real WWE Tough Enough goods. While accruing points and interacting with content, app users will also be able connect with fellow fans of the show through the Chatter feature.
The Tough Enough applications come on the heels of last season’s successful “Psych Vision” apps for USA’s hit series Psych, which allowed viewers to unlock exclusive content through keywords and accumulate points for “Club Psych” members.
